Booking

1. How do I make a booking?

Make a booking online, when filling out the booking form, please provide your full name - Pick Up and Drop off Address - Email Address - date and time - load type (self load/1 man/2man etc), and a full list of item details. When completed, we will email you a confirmation email to confirm that we have your booking and it has been received within 24-48 hours. In which, we will see you for moving day! 

 

2. Can I cancel my booking?

For whatever reason, you are able to cancel a booking, we request a notification of cancellation within 24 hours, before your moving date. Please fill out the cancelation form, to notify us as early as you can. 

3. How much is the deposit?

A deposit is required to secure your booking, the sum is dependant on your choice of van, and this is for all types of bookings. Once this is paid, the booking is secured, and on completion of your move for moving day, the rest of the balance will be due and would be taken after the job is complete.

4. Can I pay cash or card?

Cash or Card is accepted, whatever you choose, however, when making a booking, a deposit is required upfront for any move, and this can only be done online. The rest of the payment can be made by cash to the driver, or can be paid on the website or bank transfer.  

Preparation

1. What can I do to prepare for moving day?

Moving day can be as stressful as you make it, if you are well prepared, along with our expertise in moving, it can go as smooth as possible. Please ensure you have all your belongings packed and ready so it can easily be loaded into the van. Please ensure the walkway's/corridors are clear for ease of access. Ensure there are no hazards that can cause any harm to yourself as well as the driver. 

2. Do I need to provide a parking permit?

Parking permits are essential where required, to prevent any unnecessary parking tickets. Prior to your move, please check whether a parking permit is available for your driver, you can ask of their registration plate to be provided to you. If you live in a flat with a concierge, please speak to them and inform them of your move, so amendments can be made for you and your driver. Also if you are aware there are any cameras, whether its a private parking CCTV camera, or a school operating times camera, please do inform us prior to your move. 

3. I have pets in the house, is this fine with your drivers?

On your moving date, if you deem it necessary to inform your driver that you have a pet in the house, that could be obstructive/noisy for whatever reason, please ensure you place your pet in another room for the remainder of your move, just for everyone's safety. 

Moving day

1. I need help estimating the van size I need.

This is understandable, sometimes, you can be unsure of what van size you'd need. Not a problem, just give us a call, before making a booking, and our team can advise you based on your item list, to save you the mistake of booking the wrong van size! 

Alternatively, you can click the 'view details' button under the different van sizes, and it would provide you online information about the van specifications, dimensions, and cubic metre load. 

2. Can I ride in the van with the driver?

This should be discussed beforehand with the driver, if you require to ride in the van with the driver, please do inform us. 

3. How many people can ride in the van?

We strictly limit the amount of passengers riding in the van to 2! At anytime during transportation, for a van, there should not be more than 3 people (including the driver) travelling in the van, as per UK road traffic regulations.  Requests for more people to travel in the rear of the van is strictly prohibited and will be denied by the driver.

4. Are pets allowed in the van?

This should be discussed beforehand with the driver, if you require to bring your pet with you in the van, please do inform us. 

Handover

1. Important: Payment on completion.

Upon completion of your move, and you're happy you have gotten everything in your new property. A final calculation will be made if your move has gone over the minimum 2 hours, the time would be calculated and you will be provided with the chance to make the rest of the payment. Please note, the payment needs to be done as soon as your move is complete. We do not wait for payment for later on in the day or the following day.   

2. What if i've been overcharged? Can i get a refund?

In the unlikely event that you have been overcharged. Notify us by calling the office, or send us an email at hello@thinkspaceremovals.co.uk. We will assess and if any overcharging of payment has been found, the sums are to be refunded to you. 

3. Are children under 12 allowed to travel without a car seat?

In compliance with UK law, children under 12 cannot be allowed to travel in the van without a car seat, please prepare yourself with travel in advance if you do not have a child's car seat available at hand.
